Budget 2001

The first Energy Technology List was published on 26 March 2001, and gained statutory effect on 16 July the same year. So the first claims for 100% first year capital allowances could be made from that date.

The technologies on the initial list were:

  • Boiler equipment
    • Automatic total dissolved solids control
    • Biomass boilers <300kW
    • Burners with controls
    • Condensate recovery and return systems
    • Condensing economisers
    • Combustion trim controls
    • Flue gas economisers
    • Heat recovery from boiler blowdown
    • Hot water boilers over 400kW
    • Localised rapid steam generators
    • Retrofit burner control system
    • Optimising controllers for wet heating systems
    • Sequence controls
    • Steam boiler
