Budget 2003

The 2003 Budget announced additional technologies and amended some of the qualifying criteria. One new technology and seven sub-technologies were added to the list:

• Automatic monitoring and targeting equipment
• Boiler equipment
• Biomass boilers (>300kw and <15,000kW)
• Compressed air equipment
• Refrigerant dryer controllers
• Ultrasonic leak detector
• Refrigeration equipment
• Air blast pre-coolers
• Commercial service cabinets
• Cellar cooling equipment
• Forced air pre-coolers
• Packaged chillers

The Government also amended criteria for the following technology groups that were already on the list:

• Boiler equipment 
  • Advanced boiler controls and additional energy-saving add-ons
  • Blowdown system
• Compressed air equipment
  • Electronic drain traps
• Heat pumps for space heating
• Lighting
• Refrigeration equipment
  • Display cabinets
• Warm air and radiant heating

The 2003 Energy Technology List was published on the 15 July 2003 and came into effect on 5 August 2003.
