For many sites, particularly retailers and businesses that generate a lot of heat, refrigeration is the highest energy cost. However, it is also one of the areas where it is easiest to make substantial savings.

Up to 10% of the energy used in a refrigeration plant can be due to leaks in the pipework, which can be resolved by insulating it effectively.

All eligible products in this category appear on the Energy Technology Product List (ETPL). This is continually updated, with new products added and old ones removed at the beginning of every month.

You will be able to claim an Enhanced Capital Allowance on a product if it’s on the ETPL at the time of purchase. If it has been taken off the list, or is added at a later date, you will not. So make sure the product you want to buy is on the list before making your investment.
