Heat pumps

Heat pumps transfer heat from external sources (air, water or ground temperature) to spaces that require heating. They also provide cooling by reversing the process.

In many applications, heat pumps offer a more efficient way to provide heat. They are particularly useful in areas with no natural gas supply or where only low levels of heat are needed, such as underfloor systems.

All eligible products in this category appear on the Energy Technology Product List (ETPL). This is continually updated, with new products added and old ones removed at the beginning of every month.

You will be able to claim an Enhanced Capital Allowance on a product if it’s on the ETPL at the time of purchase. If it has been taken off the list, or is added at a later date, you will not. So make sure the product you want to buy is on the list before making your investment.

Click on the relevant sub-technology below to see the products currently on the list. You can use the filter to search for products with a certain feature. Alternatively you can tick one or more of the check boxes and export them to Excel to compare products.
