AMT equipment can be portable or fixed (component based). Both types monitor how much energy a site is using, identifying any areas where it’s being wasted. This helps companies introduce energy-saving measures in the areas where they will provide the most benefit. The equipment also helps ensure these measures have the desired long-term effect.Component based AMT products don’t appear on the ETPL, instead there are criteria which a component base AMT system must meet in order for an ECA to be claimed. Once you have designed your scheme a Certificate of Energy Efficiency will be required which is issued by DECC (Department of Energy and Climate Change) before you can make a claim. Click here for more information about claiming. Portable products are listed on the Energy Technology Product List (ETPL) and claims should be made in the normal way.
